Music Instructor, Part-Time | $17–$22 per hourEspecially looking for: Piano · Drum Set

About usBach to Rock (B2R) Herndon is a performance-based music school where students of all ages learn the music they love: private lessons, real bands, a recording studio, camps, and big-stage events like Battle of the Bands and our Music Showcase. Our instructors are classically trained musicians and working performers.

What you'll do

• Teach private lessons using the B2R curriculum, adapted to each student's goals and favorite songs
• Create a fun, encouraging, focused lesson for kids, teens, and adults
• Track progress, assign practice, and communicate with parents
• Help students get ready for bands, Glee Club, and showcases
• Optional: coach student bands

What you bring

• Fluent music reading and solid theory on your primary instrument or voice
• Strong technique, and the ability to explain it to a 7-year-old and an adult beginner
• Patience, warmth, reliability, and a growth mindset
• Performance experience; teaching kids is a big plus
• Availability for at least 2 weekday afternoon/evening (3–9 pm) or Saturday shifts per week
• 18 or older

Pay$17–$22 per hour, based on teaching experience, instruments taught, and your audition and demo lesson. Paid for all hours worked, including training, meetings, and events.
