We are seeking experienced freelance interpreters in the Philadelphia area to support assignments between English and French , with experience interpreting French as spoken in West Africa.
Provide accurate, complete, and impartial interpretation between French- and English-speaking individuals.
Follow professional standards for confidentiality, ethics, and cultural sensitivity.
Arrive on time, prepared, and professionally dressed for scheduled assignments.
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and comply with all client-site requirements.
Professional fluency in French and English.
Prior professional interpreting experience required.
Familiarity with French as spoken in West Africa, including regional vocabulary, accents, and cultural nuances.
Reliable transportation and availability for assignments throughout the Philadelphia area.
Completion of a professional interpreter training program.
Relevant interpreting certifications.
Experience interpreting for individuals from French-speaking West African communities.
Experience providing in-person interpretation across a variety of professional or community settings.
This is a freelance/independent contractor opportunity. Assignment volume, location, duration, and scheduling will vary based on client demand and interpreter availability.
